The station is part of a joint waste management policy by the municipalities for 2009–2020. When the gas and composting station becomes operational, all household waste collected in SORPA’s domain will be processed at the station. Organic matter will be used for gas production and composting, which will double gas production.

Argentine Q3 biodiesel exports slip 30% due to US anti-dumping duties November 29, 2017 |  Meghan Sapp In Argentina,  biodiesel exports fell during 30% during Q3  to  353,034 metric tons on the back of US anti-dumping tariffs that quickly saw biodiesel diverted to other markets. Up until Q3, biodiesel exports had been up 26% on the year at 741,485 tons but the anti-dumping tariffs of up to 72% were announced in late August. The country has tried to negotiate a floor price for the US market in an attempt to lift the anti-dumping duties but so far no agreement has been reached that satisfies the US industry’s demands.
